Bliss Bodawala

Bliss has spent all four years of high school at Freedom and is finally graduating! She has been a devout art student, taking art classes throughout all four years of high school. She has always had a passion for art, where her mother first laid a paintbrush in her hands at the tender age of three. Through this experience, she began to enjoy the feeling of being able to convey a message through illustrations. Ever since that precious moment, she has been able to develop
around 30 original pieces.

For Bliss, art has always been a constant element in her life, where she uses it to illustrate her emotions about select situations. Through art, she has been able to explore various art styles, where she tends to vary her art styles depending on the subject of the piece and the mood she wishes to convey. In short, she would consider her art to fall under the painterly art style. By choosing art, she has also been able to encourage young girls into partaking art, like her mother did for her.
Bliss will also be attending the University of Virginia* in the fall as a mathematics and politics double major. She hopes to become a human rights attorney in the future, where she longs to spread awareness about the conflicts depicted in some of her paintings. She also hopes to join an art club at the University of Virginia, so she can continue painting and improving as an artist. Most importantly, Bliss would like to thank her art teachers for guiding her as an artist and helping her find her art style while also furthering her love for the arts.

*Fun fact, Bliss wrote one of her supplemental essays about art!
