Kayla Mostek is a graduating senior at Freedom High School. They have spent the last 3 years in art classes, skipping ahead to reach art 4 by senior year. Kayla has always had a passion for art, ever since their grandpa gave a Christmas present of all of his art supplies. From there Kayla has always had a paintbrush in hand, painting everything in their imagination. 

 

The media that Kayla uses most often are acrylic paint and colored pencil. Kayla has spent hours working on projects, staying before and after school, to create each piece to the best of their ability. Their art teachers have been a major influence, Mrs. Hilliker and Mrs. Disse-Garrison have always pushed Kayla to see different perspectives and challenge their bounds of creativity.

 

Kayla plans on attending Virginia Tech as an engineering major and using their acquired skills to bring an artistic touch to their work.
